A user friendly online application process, access to a listing of available facilities and a centralized rental office, these are just some of the ways that the Lambton Kent District School Board and the St. Clair Catholic District School Board are working together to provide a seamless offering of school facilities to local non-profit community organizations.

CHOOSE A FACILITY that will suit your needs. The online application process provides access to hundreds of school facilities across Lambton Kent, such as; gymnasiums, auditoriums, classrooms, cafeterias and libraries.

APPLY to rent a school facility using the fast and easy online application system. If you are a new user you will need to create a new account or, if you are an existing user, you can simply login using your previously created account.

APPROVAL - Once an application has been approved, a rental permit will be electronically issued. The online application system simplifies the payment process with a secure online payment method!

 
In order to ensure that all sectors of the community have access to school facilities on an equitable basis, usage priorities have been established. Where user groups desire the same time frame and the same location, the following factors will be taken into consideration; user group category and activity, potential for alternative venues, previous history of the user group and long-term bookings vs. single use bookings.

AVAILIBILITY
School facilities are available for rent during the current school year from mid-September to mid-June, Monday-Friday, from 6pm-10pm, and, on weekends generally between the hours of 9am-6pm.
Due to cleaning and maintenance requirements, school facilities are not available during the Christmas break, March break, Professional Development days, or statutory holidays. There may be limited availability during the summer.

APPLICATION TIMELINE
Applications must be submitted no later than ten working days prior to the first date that a facility is required.  The online application process for the next school year opens on September 1st so September and October are extremely busy and rental applications may take a little longer to process than at other times of the school year.

SCHOOL CLOSURES
The decision to close schools due to extreme weather is usually made early in the morning and communicated on the school board's website and through local media. All community use rentals shall be cancelled when schools are CLOSED due to inclement weather, or any other causes beyond control of the school board. If the school is not closed, cancellations because of poor weather are at the discretion of the permit holder. It is the permit holder's responsibility to contact the Community Use of Schools Rental Office to advise of any cancellations. 

PERSONAL USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES
School facilities are not available to private groups for personal activities such as; weddings, dances, receptions, memorial services, private parties, or other privately sponsored events.
